After class 10th students start working towards their career path.  But it is a good idea for a child as young as 10th  to start focusing on a particular stream.


NEET and JEE every year millions of students prepare for to get into leading undergraduate medical and engineering college/institutions across India. Every year more than 13 lakhs of students are appear for the medical exam and approximately 15 lakhs for engineering exam.

Now a days after completion of 10th  there are several competitive exams students aim for, after class 10th, few of them include:



1) National Talent Search Examination or NTSE:

NCERT organized NTSE for students of various classes. NTSE is the most popular examination conducted in india. NCERT started in the year 1963. The main  purpose of this was to identify talented students and nurture their talent. It’s a national-level scholarship program that requires students to go beyond books to prepare thoroughly to score high in the exam.

ELIGIBLITY Criteria

Conducted for class-X students only.


 SYLLABUS

NCERT prescribed syllabus to be followed. It covers science, maths, social science and mental ability.



2) KVPY–KISHORE VAIGYANIC PROTSAHAN YOJANA



KISHORE VAIGYANIC PROTSAHAN YOJANA  started in a year 1999 by the Department of science and technology, Government of India.  The main agenda of this program is to encourage students to take up research in the field on the basic of science. The ELIGIBLITY Criteria of students in class -XI and class-XII of recognized institutions. Student have to do through study from subjects like cbse and ices boards.


3) NSO–NATIONAL SCIENCE OLYMPIAD


NSO is a (National Level Science Exam) it is been conducted by SOF(Science Olympiad Foundation) . Students of call 10th are eligible to participate. The Science and math syllabus as prescribed by CBSE, ICSE or various state boards.  There will be four levels of exams. 4) Industrial Training Institute (ITI) course: Students who want to pursue a technical course at a low cost should opt for ITI course. After completion of one year of ITI course, they can get admissions in polytechnic diploma courses.





5) Polytechnic courses:


This course are basic engineering/technical courses mainly done after class 10th in various polytechnic colleges in the country. The students who pursuing polytechnic diploma courses can get admission into second year of technical degree courses through a competitive or entrance exam.


6) International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO): Science Olympiad Foundation, New Delhi conducts IMO for all students of Classes II to XII. The first IMO was held in 1959 in Romania, with 7 countries participating. It has gradually expanded to over 100 countries from 5 continents. The IMO Board ensures that the competition takes place each year and that each host country observes the regulations and traditions of the IMO.

7 ) Zonal Informatic Olympiad (ZIO) : The Indian Computing Olympiad is a nationwide competition organized annually by IARCS. The goal of the competition is to identify school students with outstanding skills in algorithms and computer programming.


8) National Standard Examination in Astronomy (NSEA): Organized by Indian Association of Physics Teachers, this is a competitive exam for CBSE board students studying in Class X or XI.



9) Technothlon: This competitive exam is conducted by IIT Guwahati for students of Classes 9 to 12 from CBSE/ ICSE/ State Boards.


10) Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF):

Science Olympiad is a non profile organization that  promote science, mathematics, introductory computer education and English language skills among the school going children of India.  The students from class I to XII children can participate in this Olympiad, having different exam paper for each class. Students who are interested in Science and want financial aid to achieve their goals can prepare for this competitive exam.
